特定の意味や機能を持たない、ただ光を放つ構造体。
デジタルサイネージのような明確な情報伝達ではなく、
より原始的な「光る物体」としての存在。

2026.2.28 ~ 3.1 大阪・北加賀屋のクリエイティブセンター大阪（旧名村造船所跡地）で開催されたグループ展「HOMEWORKS 2025 10th Anniversary」にて、IE3として出展した光の彫刻作品。

高さ2.3m、80cm四方のモノリス状のオブジェクト。前面と背面にLEDパネル（128 × 512px、3.9mmピッチ）を設置し、周囲を鉄板で覆った造作。鉄板には造船所跡地との親和性を意図して、塩水による実際の酸化プロセスで錆加工を施した。

LEDの表面にはアクリルパネルを配置。前面はカラー、乳白色、蛍光など多種のアクリルを使用し、同一の光でもパネルの位置によって異なる色彩と表情が生まれる。背面は黒一色の拡散アクリルで、LEDの粒感を消した柔らかな光面となっている。ひとつの構造体に、ふたつの異なる性格。

映像はopenFrameworksによるGLSLシェーダーのリアルタイム生成グラフィック。約30シーンが1分間隔で移り変わる。テキストも具象的なイメージも排し、ただ光の印影がゆっくりと変化していくだけ。ソフトウェアはOSCベースの制御アーキテクチャで設計されており、気温や来場者数といった環境パラメータによって映像が動的に変化する拡張性を持つ。

タイトルはanonymousの語源であるギリシャ語から。「名前も意味も持たないもの」。デジタルサイネージのような明確な情報伝達ではなく、より原始的な「光る物体」としての存在。キャンプファイアーをぼーっと眺めるような、人間が根源的に持っている光への衝動に向き合う作品。

anōnumos
A structure that holds no specific meaning or function, simply emitting light. Its presence is not that of clear information transmission like digital signage, but rather that of a more primitive "glowing object."

A light sculpture exhibited at the group show "HOMEWORKS 2025 10th Anniversary" at Creative Center Osaka (former Namura Shipyard), Kitakagaya, Osaka, from February 28 to March 1, 2026.

A monolithic object standing 2.3 meters tall and 80 cm square. LED panels (128 × 512 px, 3.9 mm pitch) are mounted on both front and rear faces, encased in iron plate cladding. The iron surfaces carry real rust — induced with saltwater and controlled oxidation — forging a material dialogue with the decommissioned shipyard site.

Layered acrylic panels cover the LED surfaces. The front face uses colored, opalescent, and fluorescent acrylic, so identical light fractures into different hues depending on panel position. The rear pairs black diffusion acrylic with rust-treated iron, dissolving LED pixels into a soft, continuous glow. One body, two temperaments.

The visuals are real-time generative graphics rendered in openFrameworks with GLSL shaders. Thirty scenes cycle at one-minute intervals — slow gradients, shifting luminance, evolving structures — all deliberately stripped of semantic content. The software is built on OSC-based control, designed for extensibility: environmental inputs such as ambient temperature or viewer count can dynamically modulate the visual output.

The title derives from the Greek root of "anonymous" — without name, without meaning. Not a screen delivering content, but a primitive glowing object. The interaction it seeks is the quiet, ancient act of watching light.
